Aesthetic clinic marketing agency

Aesthetic clinic marketing from a nurse who's run her own clinic

I know how much work goes into a clinic. Your marketing needs to help the right patients find it.

In short

Aesthetic clinic marketing helps new patients find your clinic and book, using Google, AI search, Google Maps and social media. Inject Digital is a UK aesthetic clinic marketing agency run by Sarah McDonald, a nurse prescriber who has owned her own clinic. Her work focuses on enquiries and consultations, with ASA and MHRA advertising rules considered from the start.

Before I worked in marketing, I was an aesthetics nurse prescriber (check my registration on the NMC register). I've had the consultations and answered the questions patients ask before booking. I also know the rules set by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) and the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). That experience goes into your marketing.

Inject Digital is an aesthetics marketing agency for UK clinics. I help patients find you when they search for a treatment in your town, whether they're using Google, Maps or an AI tool like ChatGPT.

My story

Why I started Inject Digital

I trained in aesthetics with Lee Walker Academy in 2018 and opened my clinic in Blackburn. I was a nurse prescriber, I'd invested in my training and I was proud of the treatments I offered. I thought that would be enough to bring patients in.

It wasn't. I posted on Instagram every day, shared before-and-afters and had a website hardly anyone could find. I was putting the work in without understanding why it wasn't bringing bookings.

I'd already started teaching myself marketing to save my clinic. Then an autoimmune disease took my sight and I couldn't practise. During my recovery, I went deeper, learning how clinics get found online and what helps a patient decide to book. That became Inject Digital.

So I understand what it feels like to invest in a clinic and still have gaps in the diary. I've had to work through the same problems in my own business.

Why it's different

Why aesthetic clinic marketing is different

Patients need enough information to feel comfortable booking, and you need to give it within the ASA's advertising codes. You can't promote prescription-only medicines to the public or promise a result. I build treatment pages around the questions you hear in consultation, with a clear focus on the treatment and location.

How I work

What medical aesthetics marketing looks like with me

  • A page for each treatment, built around a real patient search such as "profhilo epsom". The patient should land on the page that answers their question.
  • Regular work on your Google profile. That includes weekly posts, treatment services and a process for asking patients for reviews after appointments.
  • Content that sounds like you. Patients can see who's treating them, find answers in the FAQs and understand how to book.
  • Monthly AI search checks. I test whether ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Perplexity name your clinic, then work on where you're missing.
  • Checks against ASA and MHRA guidance as the copy is written. That includes prescription medicine promotion and claims about results.

10 marketing mistakes

The common digital marketing mistakes aesthetic clinics make, and how to fix them.

Proof

What works, from real clinics

Nearly 20% took an enquiry action

At a Wigan clinic, nearly 20% of visitors took an enquiry action: they clicked to book, called or sent a form. We put prices and the booking button near the top of every treatment page, where patients could find them.

14th to 1st in a fortnight

A Leeds clinic's best blog didn't link to the relevant treatment page. We added the link. In a fortnight, that treatment search moved from 14th to 1st on Google. That month, the number of searches where the clinic appeared in Google's top 3 rose by 500%.

Page-one searches up 86%

The Wigan clinic had several pages competing for the same searches. After we removed duplicates, its page-one searches rose by 86%. We also added a short answer box at the top of one page. A search with a volume of 2,600 a month moved from 5th to 1st, and Google's AI summary now quotes the page.

Enquiries up 275%

A Preston clinic had just moved premises when its enquiries rose 275% in one month. 73% of the visitors AI tools sent clicked to book. That made AI its best-converting source by the actions tracked. Those clicks matter, but they aren't confirmed appointments.

1st locally for "lip filler cost"

The same Preston clinic added a clear price section. It now ranks 1st locally for "lip filler cost", and Google's AI summary names its page as the first source, ahead of the other clinics in Preston.

How I measure

Every figure comes from the client's own Google Search Console, Google Analytics and Google Business Profile, plus Ahrefs. Every month, I ask ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Perplexity the same 10 questions a real patient would ask, with personalisation switched off.

Reporting

What you get every month

A monthly report you can understand. I start with enquiries, then cover Google Maps, rankings and AI visibility. The figures come from your own Search Console, Analytics and Google Business Profile. You can check them yourself.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What does aesthetic clinic marketing include?
It includes SEO for your treatment pages, work on your Google Business Profile and content in your voice. I also track AI search visibility. The aim is to help patients find you and book a consultation.
Why use an aesthetics marketing agency instead of a general one?
Ask how the agency handles healthcare advertising rules. Putting "Botox" on a clinic homepage or promising treatment results can cause problems with the ASA. I've worked under those rules as a clinician, so they're part of the work from the start.
How do I get more patients to my aesthetic clinic?
Start with Google Maps and your treatment pages. Make sure someone searching for a treatment in your town can find the right information, read genuine reviews and book without hunting around your website.
Can you help my clinic appear in ChatGPT?
Yes. I test the same patient questions every month in ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Perplexity, and report where you're named and who's named instead.
Do you offer a marketing plan for aesthetic clinics?
Yes. Every client gets a three-month content plan. It sets out the pages we're working on, the searches each one targets and why. You'll see it in your monthly report.
How long before I see results?
Usually three to six months for real movement, though updated pages can move within weeks.
Do you work with nurse-led and doctor-led clinics?
Both, plus dentist-led and prescriber-led clinics across the UK.
